TOOLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

  1. Methylated spirits/wax and grease remover
  2. Clean cloths
  3. Heat gun or hairdryer
  4. Scalpel
  5. Cotton gloves (not necessary but can be of use for smoothing graphic once heat is applied)

 

APPLICATION
  1. Make sure your bike is clean, we recommend you take your plastics off to clean thoroughly including all edges (make sure you don’t use a silicone based wash as the adhesive won’t bond properly to your plastics)
  2. Make sure your hands are clean and free of grease and dirt
  3. Lay clean plastics on a flat surface
  4. Wipe plastics down with a rag using methylated spirits or wax/grease remover followed by wipe down with a dry clean cloth
  5. Align the sticker over the required area ensuring all bolt holes and edges are lined up, we recommend to tape down a few sections to hold in place and ensure it’s lined correctly
  6. Once you’re happy that it is positioned correctly peel off a small section of the flattest edge of the decal, sweep across in small sections with finger or thumb carefully to ensure no air bubbles (this is when gloves may be of use)
  7. Continue in small sections or remove entire backing (depending on previous experience) making sure you work in a horizontal sweep as per step 6
  8. You may need a heat gun/hairdryer in small sections particularly curved areas to ensure a smooth crease free application
  9. You may need to use your scalpel to trim off edges or around bolt holes
  10. Once your sticker has been fully applied we recommend to go over all areas with low heat to help the adhesive bonding process, we also recommend not to wash or ride your bike for a minimum of 24 hours after installation
  11. Congratulations you’re ready to race!
